World Animal Week 2007

One Million Signatures

Over one million people from around the world believe that animal welfare deserves international recognition, and have shown their support the Universal Declaration on Animal Welfare (UDAW). All 192 countries of the world are now represented on the petition.

Congratulations and thank you to all who have signed and collected signatures around the world. Find out more about our one million celebrations in Costa Rica.

2008 is going to be an exciting year for the UDAW. We will be unveiling an exciting new look for the UDAW early in the year, so watch this space!

We are also setting a new petition target for 2008: 2 million signatures. Just like in 2007, these signatures will come through the efforts of people like you, perhaps inviting friends to sign, perhaps working as part of a petition collection team belonging to one of hundreds of animal welfare societies who have supported the Universal Declaration so far.

Below are some downloadable resources to help you in your petition collecting over the coming weeks and months.

Please return your completed petitions to your local WSPA office, which you can find here.

THANK YOU.
